CD: Re:Thinking Religion (3 Part Series)
Before taking them up the mountain, Jesus had to choose who would be His twelve disciples. They would become His closest followers who would represent Him to the world – and was He looking for a leader or servant’s heart? What makes a good leader? We might think it takes strength, decisiveness, charisma or the ability to take control. But God seems to value other qualities.
Brett McBride’s Re:thinking series explores The Sermon on the Mount. Jesus calls His disciples – to the mountain and it quickly becomes evident that He is having them rethink their religion, rethink their relationships, rethink the rhythms that are to be in their lives. Jesus spent two years turning the disciples’ theology upside down, and He is about to make them re-think everything they know about God, the law, loving others, the priorities in their lives and their attitudes; everything is going to be contained within The Sermon on the Mount.
